PS5: hard to assign home for villager in the middle of list, some bug with controls

Please check if browsing lists is buggy with PS5. When I have homeless villager in the middle of list (not the last one in the bottom), for the life of me I can't figure out how to navigate to assign home to the villager. Controls don't seem to work logically. New villagers go to bottom of list amd last list item always works, but if you destroy house of existing villagers, it's hard to assign them new bed as they are not the last list item.
List also starts jumping randomly around sometimes. I find myself spending a lot of time going through the villager and job lists and failing to assign.
