Lotus plants beneath water surface

I am playing on PS5 and recently noticed at the large lake on the north east of the temple region, there is a large area of lotus plants but they are beneath the water instead of floating on the surface. Unsure if anyone has reported this before. I apologize if it's a duplicate.
